Supporting the Government, Kalbe Again Held a COVID-19 Vaccination Center

Jakarta, August 8, 2021. As a form of support for the Government's Vaccination Program, PT Kalbe Farma Tbk (Kalbe) today again held a free Covid-19 Vaccination Center at Fransiskus III Elementary School, Kayu Jati, East Jakarta. The implementation of the Vaccination starting from August 4, 2021, to the next 3 days is a continuation of the implementation of Phase 1 and Phase 2 Vaccinations which have been carried out in June and July 2021. The Kalbe Vaccination Center, in collaboration with the East Jakarta Health Office, Pulo Gadung Health Center, and Fransiskus III Elementary School Jakarta; is targeting 650 participants to be vaccinated every day with the main focus being high school students or participants aged 12+. 

“Kalbe is committed to supporting the Government in overcoming the Covid-19 pandemic, including through Vaccination programs. We understand that the government cannot walk alone, but needs the support of various parties including the industry," said PT Kalbe Farma Tbk's Head of External Communication Hari Nugroho, "The implementation of the Kalbe Vaccination Center is a continuation of the previous implementation of the Vaccination Center. participants of school-age or age 12+, however, it does not close the opportunity for people aged 18+ to receive vaccinations,” he continued. 

Hari added that in addition to attracting people in the location's surrounding areas, Kalbe also collaborated with several schools, including Fransiskus II Middle School, Advent VII Junior High School, Mekar Sari Junior High School, and Tarakanita 4 Junior High School Jakarta. In the future, according to Hari, Kalbe will collaborate with various parties to expand the vaccination program to several other areas beyond Jakarta.

Sister Franselin FSGM, the head of SMP Santo Fransiskus II, stated her welcome and appreciation of the Kalbe Vaccination Center program which was focused on school-age students. SAe hopes that school students have a good immune system after being vaccinated. "If the immunity is strong, they will be better prepared to undergo a face to face learning," said Franselin again.


For Renata Oktavia, and Fabio, 9th grade students of SMP Santo Fransiskus II, vaccination is something to look forward to considering that their families have been vaccinated. "Both our parents have been vaccinated, I'm very stoked that today I can get vaccinated," said Renata. 

In organizing the Vaccination Center, Kalbe has sufficient health personnel resources to carry out the Vaccination program and its implementation has involved every element in the Kalbe Group. The implementation of the Covid-19 vaccination once again will be run by several of Kalbe's subsidiaries, i.e. PT Millenia Dharma Insani (Mitrasana clinic), Klikdokter for the health workers front, as well as assistance by volunteers from Kalbe Group employees. "Of course we get supervision and assistance from the Health Office," added Hari.


The vaccine registration process at the Kalbe Covid-19 Vaccination Center is not different from the previous Covid-19 Vaccination Center, people who want to register are required to make an appointment through the KlikDokter application or through the local Health Center and must fill out their complete profile in the personal data menu. Children aged 12+ can be assisted by parents to register. Registered Participants must arrive at a minimum of 30 minutes before the registered schedule. Participants are required to bring an ID card or Student Card for children aged 12+ or a domicile note upon arrival and show proof of an appointment (booking code). Participants can also register directly on the spot (walk-in) on that day while the quota is still available.
