"The Ministry of Health welcomes the presence of the digital platform, that shall be a forum for education and information about cancer, as well as providing online consultation services about cancer," said dr. Cut Putri Arianie, MH.Kes, Director of P2PTM Kemenkes RI. "As we know that cancer has become one of the non-communicable diseases whose prevalence is globally increasing every year.  Therefore the Ministry of Health has launched a 4-pillar strategy in an effort to reduce the incidence and morbidity from cancer in Indonesia, which include:
1. Increased vaccination coverage as protection, specifically for cervical cancer prevention.
2. Massive broadcast of information related to medical-based cancer treatment.
3. Increased inclusivity of early cancer detection.
4. Continuous improvement of health facilities and other modalities in the field of cancer.
"This is the 4-pillar strategy that has been implemented by the P2PTM directorate of the Indonesian Ministry of Health," said dr. Cut Putri.

At the same time, dr. Andhika Rachman, Sp.PD-KHOM also said that cancer can be prevented by early detection of cancer. There are several types of early detection of cancer, including for breast cancer, early detection by doing SADARI (Breast Self-Examination) which can be done by a woman who is already menstruating. SADARI can be done every H + 10 after menstruation.

He also added that not consuming alcohol, not smoking, no stress, have a balanced diet, maintain a healthy weight, do periodic check-ups, routine exercise, adequate rest, and consuming nutritious and balanced meals can prevent cancer.

"In line with Kalbe's commitment to making the nation healthy, one of which is related to cancer in Indonesia, through the OneOnco ecosystem, we hope that it will become a support system for cancer warriors, survivors, and caregivers," said Mulia Lie, Director of PT Kalbe Farma Tbk.

Mulia Lie also added that currently, the ecosystem has been able to provide solutions, including Access to reliable information about cancer (Anti Hoaks), Access to online consultations about cancer that is supported by KlikDokter, Access to complete early detection of cancer & affordable health facilities supported by health facility partners, and Access a directory of cancer services consisting of health facilities with various modalities in the field of oncology, health workers in the field of oncology, and information about cancer communities.

“KlikDokter as one of the digital health platforms that have been around since 2008 fully supports the realization of the One Onco ecosystem. Collaboration with One Onco Kalbe is very strategic considering that KlikDokter already has a qualified e-health platform and has reached the wider community in Indonesia, especially related to online consultations and other services, such as healthy shopping.” said Michael Buyung Nugroho, Director of Kalbe E-Health. "On the other hand, the competence and flight hours of Kalbe Oncology (One Onco) as a pioneer of oncology services in Indonesia and the connectivity that has been established with all cancer stakeholders in Indonesia makes this collaboration more operationally capable to be a solution to help the government and society to reduce the incidence of cancer in Indonesia,” added Michael.

As is known, four new cases of cancer in the world are dominated by breast, lung, colon, and prostate. Whereas in Indonesia, cancer cases are dominated by breast, cervical, lung, and colon. (source: Globocan, WHO, 2020). Deaths from cancer worldwide are higher than heart disease and stroke; higher than the total deaths from TB + Malaria + AIDS. This number continues to increase until it is estimated to more than double in 20 years and 70% occurs in developing countries.
