Klikdokter Held COVID-19 Vaccination for the Elderly

Jakarta, 26 March 2021, PT Kalbe Farma Tbk (Kalbe) through its subsidiary KlikDokter conducted a free COVID-19 Vaccination program from March 25–31, 2021 at Summarecon Mall Kelapa Gading 5 Jakarta. The vaccination program is organized by Kalbe in collaboration with Omni Hospital, EMC Hospital, and Summarecon Mall Kelapa Gading; as well as supported by the DKI Jakarta Health Services, is targeting the elderly/senior citizens in DKI Jakarta.  KlikDokter plans for a target of 500 elderlies to be given the COVID-19 vaccination on daily basis.  Present in Kalbe's Vaccination event today are the Director General of Disease Control and Prevention (P2P) fo the Ministry of Health, Maxi Rein Rondonuwu; Mayor of North Jakarta, Ali Maulana Hakim; President COmmissioner of PT Kalbe Farma Tbk, Irawati Setiady; Director of PT Kalbe Farma Tbk, Bujung Nugroho; and accompanied by the President Director of KlikDokter, Dino Bramanto.  The vaccination event is held as a support from KlikDokter for the government with the purpose of hastening the COVID-19 vaccinations to suppress the rate of spread of the Corona virus.   

"Kalbe is committed in improving the quality of life of the community, one of which is through today's event by providing COVID-19 vaccines for the elderlies.  We are supporting the government that is presently prioritizing senior citizens to be vaccinated as the group with highest vulnerability and mortality rate should they contract COVID-19. We all hope that the senior citizens can continue to live a healthy life with good quality," said Michael Buyung, Director of PT Kalbe Farma Tbk.  "In time when the vaccination program has reached the availability for other age groups than the elderly, Kalbe through KlikDokter will remain supportive and participate in holding other vaccination events, and the public can simply apply through the KlikDokter application," Michael continued.  

Maxi Rondonuwu, Director General of Disease Control and Prevention (P2P) of the Ministry of Health; in his visit to Kalbe's vaccination location, said that the government are increasing the target number to fulfill the COVID-19 vaccination of the elderly.  The government through the Ministry of Health are doing a breakthrough by being proactive and directly going to the homes of the elderly.   

"We appreciate the collaboration of dynamic vaccination event that is held at Mall Kelapa Gading (MKG) that is the representative in servicing the elderly and senior citizens.  Comfortable atmosphere, easy access, and strict health protocol application would make the elderly more interested to get their vaccinations as soon as possible.  More importantly is that the organizers are very strict with the health protocol, among which is the distancing and flow of vaccination starting from the registration process to the post-vaccination observation process," said Ali Maulana Hakim, Mayor of North Jakarta.  

"KlikDokter is in support of the government in providing vaccinations for the elderly, due to the fact that according to the Health Department there are still a lot of elderly who has not gotten their vaccination referrals.  We therefore proactively conducted the program by providing convenience for the elderly, they only need to register through the KlikDokter appication," said Dino Bramanto, Director of KlikDokter.  “We hope that the vaccination program does not stop here and we shall be able to do the same in other cities. Other than vaccinations, we also present supplements and vitamins for the public, which we continue to provide in order to avoid the spread of COVID-19 virus," Dino continued. 
 
The registration for the Vaccination Program is very simple, folks who wish to register a parent or elderly is obliged to make an appointment through the KlikDokter apps and fill in the participants' complete profile in the participants data menu.  Participants are required to arrive at least 30 minutes prior to the registered schedule.  Participants are required to bring their ID card upon arrival and show proof of appointment (booking code).  Participants cannot do a direct registration on location (on the spot). On the spot registration can only be done if there are sessions remaining at the end of the event on the day.  Participants of the elderly vaccinations are required to be 60 years +1 on the day of the vaccination.   

The Elderly Vaccination Program can be undertaken by accessing through the link http://bit.ly/kd-vaksin lansia, followed by choosing the vaccination date, filling in an email address, filling in personal data, picking the time of arrival for vaccination, and then submit.  After submitting the data, KlikDokter will send a confirmation, gave information on the date of arrival of the participants, and confirm the presence of the vaccine participant through email or whatsapp.  After the first vaccination is done, KlikDokter will remind the participant for the second vaccination through whatsapp and push-notification through the KlikDokter apps. 

Senior Citizens who do not have DKI Jakarta ID card but lives in Jakarta can attend the vaccination program by bringing a domicile letter from local authorities, that is from RT and RW who confirmed that the participant indeed live in the area/address they are presently living in.  Domicile letter can be completed with an official wet stamp with a valid letter period.  

Elderlies who are available for the COVID-19 Vaccination Program that is organized by KlikDokter must fulfill the following conditions:  
• Elderly with healthy condition, does not have a cough/cold/fever/shortness of breath within the past seven days. 
• If the candidate is a COVID-19 survivor, they are allowed to participate in vaccination at minimal 3 months after the last negative test. 
• Candidates should not be a cardiac failure/liver/chronic kidney patient or undergoing hemodialysis. 
• Elderly candidate should also not be in the process of cancer treatment/have blood-clotting issues/on medication for immunodeficiency/having blood transfusion. 
• The candidates with condition or history of epilepsy/diabetes melitus/HIV/lung disease (asthma, PPOK) should be in stable conditions. 
• Has not received other vaccination during the past one month. 
• Final health checkup will be done on the vaccination location by healthcare professionals.
