Masamba, 27 July 2020 - PT Kalbe Farma Tbk (Kalbe) today through the Kalbe Consumer Health Division which produces over-the-counter drugs (OTC) provides assistance to flood victims in North Luwu Regency, South Sulawesi, by conducting clean-up activities in public facilities, such as mosques, schools, and the neighborhood around the residents' homes. Furthermore, Kalbe also provides medicines as well as health education and conducts free medical examinations for disaster victims. The symbolic handover of medicines was carried out by Indra Cerrado Top, Area Activation of Kalbe Consumer Health, and Abdul Hakim, Area Business Supervisor; to Ahmad Musafir, Staff Officer of the Indonesian Red Cross (PMI) in Masamba City, North Luwu. The free health education and medication activities are supported by Entrostop brand as an expert in diarrhea medicine, Kalpanax brand that helps overcome fungal itching, Fatigon to help maintain body health during disasters and Mixagrip to treat flu and cough.
“Kalbe will continue to be committed to improving public health, one of which is caring for the health of disaster victims,” said Feni Herawati, Director of Kalbe Consumer Health of PT Kalbe Farma Tbk. “We hope this assistance can provide benefits for disaster victims of 3,627 heads of families (KK) in 6 affected districts in North Luwu,” added Feni.
“By providing medical assistance and health education, we hope that people will be more aware of their health and realize how important it is to maintain health and hygiene after a disaster. This medicine provision activity is coordinated through the local health post, while the health education is carried out in conjunction with the public facilities and neighborhood cleanup activities.
