Kalbe Commemorates International Women’s Day

Jakarta, March 9, 2020, PT Kalbe Farma Tbk (Kalbe) through one of the products of Kalbe Consumer Health divisions, Fatigon, is commemorating International Women’s Day by organizing Women Speak Up with the message Woman #BisaSemua (#CanDoItAll). This activity is a form of appreciation for women in Indonesia by presenting inspirational speakers, including Veronika Krasnasari - Top 6 of Asia’s Next Top Model 2017, Laras Anggraini - Founder of Smitten By Pattern (Creative Design Brand), Dwina M. Putri - Co-founder and dr. Helmin Agustina Silalahi, Medical Manager of the Consumer Health Division. Besides the talk shows, Fatigon also held a Free Workshop with WEWO Craft (one of the providers) to increase the creativity and expertise of Indonesian women as a concrete manifestation of supporting Women #BisaSemua. 

“Kalbe is committed to improving public health, one of which is by providing education to Indonesian women whom we all know held numerous roles, both in the home, office and the environment,” said Irwan Wijaya, Senior Manager of the Vitamin Category of Kalbe Consumer Health Division of PT. Kalbe Farma Tbk as the Representative of Fatigon. Through the message ‘Women #BisaSemua’, Fatigon wants to inspire Indonesian women to continue to be active because women with their various roles can move the world, through this message Fatigon also wants to invite Indonesian women to remain in an optimal role without being bothered by lack of energy and fatigue. 

“Fatigon’s effort through the message of ‘Women #BisaSemua’ is a part of encouraging all women to fully participate and get equal opportunities to contribute to political, economic, and public life. This is following the government’s target in the Sustainable Development Goals on Gender Equality,” continued Irwan. 

In the Women Speak Up talk show the speakers talked about the challenges and inspirations they have experienced, such as Veronika Krasnasari - Top 6 of Asia’s Next Top Model 2017 which tells the challenges and obstacles of getting the achievement as a woman who underwent various roles; Laras Anggraini - Founder of Smitten By Pattern (Creative Design Brand) who in collaboration with Fatigon created designs to be revealed in the form of unique merchandise that will be released through E-Commerce to disseminate positive and inspirational messages ‘Woman #BisaSemua’; Dwina M. Putri - Co-Founder maubelajarapa. com through the message ‘Woman #BisaSemua’ by supporting the role and abilities of Indonesian women through a learning and training service platform; and Dr. Helmin Agustina Silalahi, Medical Manager of the Consumer Health Division which explains the importance of multivitamins for women to carry out their various roles optimally. The Women Speak Up event was also attended by Tasya Farasya, Beauty Enthusiast; and Ria Miranda, Fashion Designer; as Women Who Underwent Various Roles and supported the positive and inspirational message of ‘Women #BisaSemua’. 

“As we know, women are required to be versatile with the various roles they have, and that causes women to often experience health problems,” said Dr. Helmin Agustina Silalahi, Medical Manager of the Kalbe Consumer Health Division of PT Kalbe Farma Tbk. “With multitude activities, the need for multivitamins for women is very important to carry out their various roles optimally,” added dr. Helmin. 

The facts show that the Human Development Index (HDI) of men is higher than that of women, and one of the causes is because of the diverse roles and activities that are undertaken by women while the strength of women is still below that of men. 

For that to be a #BisaSemua woman, a woman is required to always maintain good health both physically and mentally with the amount of stigma inherent in the world of women. Therefore, understanding the need for a multivitamin is important for women, because the demands of undergoing various roles are not easy, but this is something that must be a pride of every woman. 

Women’s Message #BisaSemua is Fatigon’s support for International Women’s Day which was celebrated on March 8 and in line with this year’s global theme of #EachforEqual which collectively, we can all help to create a gender-equal world. And individually, we are all responsible for our thoughts and actions throughout the day, and every day we can actively choose to challenge stereotypes, fight biases, broaden perceptions, improve situations, and celebrate the achievements of every woman. 
In addition, Kalbe continues to campaign for healthy living to the people of Indonesia through the theme #BersamaSehatkanBangsa, one of which is through health education which is included in the Healthy Living pillar, by encouraging behavioral change towards healthy and prosperous lifestyles through education programs and health interventions in various situations.
