Kalbe Launches Health Challenge For Journalists

Jakarta, November 1, 2019 - PT Kalbe Farma Tbk (Kalbe) today launched a Health Challenge for Journalists program marked by health discussion themed Achieving Optimal Health, with guest speaker Emilia E. Achmadi MS., RDN, Clinical Dietitian & Sports Nutritionist at KALCare, Lotte Shopping Avenue Jakarta. 

This program is intended for journalists from print media, online media or photojournalists from various national media in Jakarta. The time period for implementing the health challenge program is valid for 90 days, starting from the first week of November 2019 to the last week of January 2020. 

At the launch of the program, today also conducted an initial health check which includes a bodyweight check, body mass index, measurement of fatvisceral fat, muscle, stomach circumference, and blood pressure checks. In addition to health discussions, a hypnotherapy session for the diet program will also be conducted by Irwan Sujarwo S.Psi, CH. CHt.; a National Trainer & Hypnotherapist. 

“Kalbe as a health company has a mission to improve health for a better life, one of which is through the Health Challenges for Journalists program,” said Hari Nugroho, Head of External Communications & Stakeholder Relations of PT Kalbe Farma Tbk. “Through this program, we hope to establish healthy lifestyles among journalists such as consumption of healthy food, regular exercise, positive thinking, and good stress management so that they can continue to carry out their activities well,” Hari added. 

In the initial stage, a health check is performed to determine the condition of the body, this is necessary to determine what treatment will be carried out during the next 90 days. Furthermore, participants will be accompanied by nutritionists to monitor their diet, manage their daily calorie needs; exercise activities that can be carried out and consult through the Health Challenge WhatsApp group.

The criteria and weighting for the assessment will be a decrease in abdominal circumference (20%), diligent health checks at KALCare during the program (20%), decrease in fat (15%), increase in muscle mass (15%), decrease in visceral fat (10%) ), decrease / increase in body weight percentage (10%), and share photos in (10%) with the tag @kalcare @kalbegroup, hashtag #bersamasehatkanbangsa

The Prizes of the Health Challenge for Journalists will be in the form of cash, where Winner 1 will get Rp. 5 million, Winner 2 will get Rp. 3 million, and Winner 3 will get Rp. 1.5 million. In addition, 4 winners will be selected based on the category, i.e, the diligent health check category, the largest abdominal circumference reduction category, the largest visceral fat reduction category and the most existing category on Instagram, each of which will receive a cash prize of Rp 500 thousand. Furthermore, all winners also will also get a smart band.

The Health Check will be carried out at KALCare which is a healthcare outlet that provides comprehensive health solutions from Kalbe Group that is located in shopping centers. Participants in the Health Challenge can carry out consultation and health checks, take regular exercise classes, and take part in regular health education held at KalCare of diseases that are around us.
