Jakarta, 6 February 2019 – Through Kalbe Learning Centre (KLC), PT Kalbe Farma Tbk (Kalbe) today have prove themselves as a company that has a learning centre with production, technic, logistic and sterile room that received an award from Indonesian World Record Museum. Kalbe Learning Center has trained and approved 7.476 trainee and they are now ready to work in pharmaceutical industries. From 2012 Until December 2018 KLC regularly operates 245 batches. Award for the Indonesian World Record Museum was given by Jaya Suprana, Chief from the General Department of Indonesian World Record Museum to Vidjongtius, President DirectorPT Kalbe Farma Tbk at Pulo Gadung Industry, East Jakarta.
“Kalbe consistently aim to develop competent resources by improving product and production quality,” said Vidjongtius. “Kalbe Learning Centre is a bridge between prospective high-school graduate and all Kalbe Farma manufactures by providing them with general information and skills to become an employee in the pharmaceutical industry,” Vidjongtius continued.
Kalbe Learning Centre that was established on 17 September 2012 was initially build for regular learning and training programs to answer all four Kalbe manufacturing group needs. At the learning centre, they also provide basic teachings such as operating a printer, packaging training, technical training (utilities and maintenance) and Non PT training (Non Production & Non technic), administration training, training for supporting staff from departments other than the production team. Other than these regular programs, KLC has developed and added analytic and logistic training.
Kalbe Learning Centre received awards from 3 different categories given by Indonesian World Record Museum, which are, (1) The first pharmaceutical company that has a Learning Center with production, technic, analyst, logistic and sterilise room; (2) A pharmaceutical company that has a Learning Center for general production training for prospective employees; (3) The first pharmaceutical company that has a Learning Center with Purna Bakti employees as the trainer.
Facilities at Kalbe Learning Centre is inline with facilities in other pharmaceutical industries. At KLC there is a Buffer Area that separates one room with another; production area with a production machine, supporting production tools that matches the requirement and is similar to Kalbe’s production room; packaging area, which is where prospective packer employees learn how to pack different Kalbe Group products that has different shapes; a technic area that provides production machine, HVAC and other supporting tools that helps prospective technic employees understand skills needed as a Kalbe Farma technicals; an analysis area that provides laboratory tools such as Erlenmeyer, measuring cylinder, glass, beaker, HPLC, safety goggles and other supporting tools that is needed in at Kalbe Group laboratory. Besides that, there is also a Logistics Area where there are shelves, pallets, items arranged close to the actual logistics area including the safety equipment needed when working in the area.
Kalbe Learning Centre also provides other facilities that helps the employees develop, such as developing soft skills through their leadership class. Besides that, there is also an Area Assessment Center which provides a series of simulation Assessment Centres to map competencies and development for employees.
