Jakarta, December 3 2018 - PT Kalbe Farma Tbk (Kalbe) today with its Hydro Coco Brand sends off the champion team of the Hydro Coco Cup National Futsal Tournament (HCNFT) 2018, SMANKO Bengkulu, to Bangkok, Thailand, to participate in the Bangkok Challenge 2018 futsal championship. There are four teams that will compete for the title in Bangkok Challenge 2018; SMANKO Bengkulu, and the other three are teams from Thailand; Taweethapisek, Patumkongka and Sahapanich. Prior to the match, the SMANKO Bengkulu team will get a coaching clinic by Jetsada Chudech, Thailand's national futsal team player and also the Best Player of the ASEAN Football Federation for year 2015. The Bangkok Challenge game will be held on 5 December 2018 at Taweethapisek Futsal Stadium, Bangkok.
"Kalbe through the Hydro Coco Cup National Futsal Tournament consistently invites the younger generation to have achievements through positive activities, especially futsal," said Arwin N. "This is the sixth year that we have sent HCNFT grand final champions to Bangkok since 2013 and bear all travel and accommodation costs. By competing in international matches, we hope that this can be a pride for the SMANKO Bengkulu team to play and give their best efforts," continued Arwin.
The SMANKO Bengkulu futsal team won the HCNFT grand final which was held in Semarang on November 17, 2018 by defeating SMAN 3 Cibinong. There are 10 teams in total that competed for the Grand Final champion title of HCNFT: SMANKO Bengkulu, SMAN 1 Jayapura, SMA Muhammadiyah 7 High School Yogyakarta, SMA Sejahtera Surabaya, SMAN 18 Bandung, SMAN 3 Batam, SMAN 3 Balikpapan, SMA Boja 1 Semarang, SMA 12 Makassar, and SMA 3 Cibinong.
HCNFT 2018 was held in 28 cities, divided into Gold and Silver Qualifications. Silver Qualifications matches were held in 18 cities: Jakarta, Tangerang, Bogor, Tasikmalaya, Padang, Solo, Manado, Palembang, Cirebon, Balikpapan, Samarinda, Pekanbaru, Purwokerto, Yogyakarta, Denpasar, Pontianak, Malang, Jember and Bandar Lampung. Whereas the Gold Qualifications were held in 10 cities: Batam, Yogyakarta, Medan, Semarang, Bandung, Jayapura, Surabaya, Makassar, Banjarmasin and Jakarta.
As we know, the Hydro Coco has been doing products co-branding with the Ministry of Tourism through the Wonderful Indonesia/Indonesia Charm in promoting Indonesia's tourism. Thus it is hoped that the HCNFT tournament can promote the sport tourism in major cities that held the HCNFT events throughout Indonesia.
This year HCNFT was appointed as the official program of the U-18 Indonesian Futsal Federation (FFI) and became the talent scouting arena to find the next members of Indonesia's U-18 National futsal team members, which is included as the annual agenda of FFI, as a part of futsal development in Indonesia.
The HCNFT event also holds the support of the National Narcotics Agency and the Indonesian Futsal Federation, as well as by Yamaha, Zinc Shampoo, PT Kereta Api Indonesia, University of Trisakti, Kalbe Business Institute, Citilink, Xonce Gummy, sports apparel Ortus & Noij, Futsalzone and Inews as official TV media partners of Hydro Coco Cup 2018.
