"Kalbe is committed in increasing the public health, specifically the health of Indonesian children," said Natalia Erlan, Group Marketing Head of PT Kalbe Farma Tbk. Through the National Child Day activities, we invite parents to pay attention to the health of their children especially those associated with the child's immune system, digestive system, and provision of proper nutrition," continued Natalia.
"Immunity in children is very important to maintain their health, especially to provide protection from external factors (bacterial or viral infections) that involve cells and organs in an organism," said dr. dr. Juliaty Salim, Sp.A from Mitra Keluarga Kemayoran Hospital. "If a child's immunity system is weakened, his body's protection is weak and could cause virus or bacteria to enter the body and grow. Children's immune systems are not perfect yet, therefore they are vulnerable when exposed to diseases; however, there are ways that parents can do to improve the immune system of a child," continued dr. Juliaty.
National Children's Day is commemorated annually on July 23, in accordance to the Decree of the President of the Republic of Indonesia Number 44 Year 1984 dated 19 July 1984. This year, KECC took the theme 'I'm a Superkid' with the purpose to increase the awareness of mothers on the health and method of education of today's children. Through these activities, mothers and children are expected to participate to raise the level of awareness of the parents towards their children.
"On this occasion Kalbe is introducing a product that is special for children to boost the immune system using the product Starmuno Kids, to keep the good bacteria in children's digestive system with Liprolac; and proper nutrition for your offspring with the product Entrakid," Add Natalia.
“Being parents at the present day has its own challenges; one of which is the impact of digital media technology that is expanding rapidly and creates concern for parents who are confused and worried in handling issues that appears during nurturing and educating their children,” said Nyi Mas Diane Wulansari, S.Psi, book writer. "Parents should be able to handle children who are addicted to smartphones and can utilize the digital media technology in supporting the child's education. Teach children according to the era - when the era changes, the challenges will change as well," Nyi Mas continued.
