Batam, 27 July 2018 – PT Kalbe Farma Tbk (Kalbe) today signs a Memorandum of Understanding with the National Narcotics Agency (BNN) of the activities of Prevention and Eradication of Abuse and Illegal Distribution of Drugs (P4GN) at Temenggung Sports Center, Batam. The Memorandum of understanding between Kalbe and BNN is signed by Vidjongtius, President Director of PT Kalbe Farma Tbk and Commissary General of Police, Drs. Heru Winarko, SH, Chairman of the National Narcotics Agency. The Memorandum of Understanding is immediately followed by the Stop Narcotics campaign, through the Hydro Coco products during the Hydro Coco National Futsal Tournament between Kalbe with the Community Empowerment Division and BNN Prevention Division.
The Kick Off of the Hydro Coco National Futsal Tournament of the 6th year also took place at the same time. The futsal tournament will be held in 29 cities in Indonesia and is planned to be participated by 1,003 senior high schools in Indonesia and attended by more than 130,000 audiences.
"Kalbe is supporting BNN in realizing the Indonesian society that are clean from the abuse and illegal trafficking of narcotics and precursors of drugs. One of the concrete implementations is through stop drug campaigns during the Hydro Coco National Futsal Tournament activities that are aimed at Indonesian senior high school students," said Vidjongtius, President Director of PT Kalbe Farma Tbk. "In the future, this collaboration will be implemented in various activities carried out by Kalbe's subsidiaries," Vidjongtius continued.

"Kalbe through the Hydro Coco National Futsal Tournament hoped to be able to help directing teenagers to have positive activities and a healthy lifestyle through futsal sports, and able to prevent them from toxic relationships," said Ronald Unadi, Head of Beverages of PT Kalbe Farma Tbk. "This year marks the fourth year of BNN's involvement in the Hydro Coco Cup and we hope that through the tournament, we can find Anti Drugs Volunteers from the participants of Hydro Coco Cup who can perform education of the dangers of narcotics alongside us and support random urine check at every match," Ronald added.
Enthusiasm of the participants Hydro Coco Cup has gotten higher, with more than 1,003 schools that are competing who came from 29 cities in Indonesia. Batam became the first city to organize the HCNFT, which will continue rolling onward and forward until the month of November for the grand final match at Semarang city. The final championship team of Hydro Coco National Futsal Tournament is entitled to take part in the U-18 International Futsal Tournament in Bangkok.
In addition with BNN, this year's Hydro Coco Cup 2018 is officially appointed as the program of the U-18 Indonesia Futsal Federation. The Hydro Coco Cup Futsal Tournament is held with full support of the Indonesian Futsal Federation, the official body that oversees the activities of Futsal sports development in Indonesia, thus the implemented rules of the competition are based on the rules of the Law of the Game made by the International Football Federation (FIFA) for Futsal matches.
Hydro Coco Cup will be held in 29 cities, divided into 29 Gold and Silver Qualifications. Silver Qualifications matches will be held in 19 cities: Jakarta, Tangerang, Bogor, Tasikmalaya, Padang, Solo, Manado, Palembang, Cirebon, Balikpapan, Samarinda, Pekanbaru, Purwokerto, Yogyakarta, Denpasar, Pontianak, Malang, Jember and Bandar Lampung. While the Gold Qualifications will be held in 10 cities: Batam, Yogyakarta, Medan, Semarang, Bandung, Jayapura, Surabaya, Makassar, Banjarmasin and Jakarta
Other than the support of the National Narcotics Agency and the Indonesian Futsal Federation, the tournament is also supported by Zinc Shampoo, PT Kereta Api Indonesia, Yamaha, University of Trisakti, Kalbe Business Institute, the Ministry of Tourism, Xonce Gummy, Calci, Bolalob, Futsalzone and Inews as media partners and official TV of Hydro Coco Cup 2018.
In year 2013, the Hydro Coco Cup futsal tournament achieved the award of one of the Best Impactful Activation for Youth from SWA magazine.

National Narcotics Agency (BNN) at a glance
The National Narcotics Agency (shortened to BNN) is a Non-Ministerial Government Agency (LPNK) in Indonesia that is tasked to perform the government duties in the fields of prevention, eradication of abuse and illegal distribution of psychotropic, precursors, and other addictive substance excluding addictive ingredients of tobacco and alcohol. BNN is chaired by a chairman who is directly reporting to the President through the coordination with the Chief of Police of the Republic of Indonesia.
BNN is legally based on Law No. 35 the year 2009 about narcotics. Previously, the BNN was a nonstructural institution that is formed based on Presidential Decree No. 17 year 2002, later replaced with a Presidential Regulation Number 83 year 2007.
At present, BNN has regional representatives in 33 provinces. At regency and city levels, BNN has 100 BNNK per city. Gradually, the representatives will be added in accordance with the development of the risk levels of drug abuse in rural areas. With the presence of representatives of the BNN in each area, it presents a larger maneuver and strategic space for the BNN in the P4GN effort. In the effort to increase the performance of prevention and eradication of abuse as well as illegal distribution of narcotics, and to achieve the vision of "Drug-free Indonesia 2025".
