Circumcision is the activity of cutting or removing a part or the entirety of the penile foreskin. With the purpose of keeping the penis from smegma and urine remains, and prevent infection of the gland or penile prepuce. The risk of Urinary Tract Infection (UTI) on uncircumcised children under the age of 1 is 10 times more prevalent than those who are circumcised. The risk increase is caused by the colonizing of pathogenic bacteria from urine between the penile gland and the inner lining of the prepuce.
