Bandung, 7 Juli 2013 – PT Kalbe Farma Tbk (Kalbe) today through one of its product, Promag, launches the Stomach Expert Consultation Center (SECC), a consultation center about the health of the stomach. The SECC that is located on the yards of Bandung's Grand Mosque will be held on July 7-14, 2013. The SECC Consultation is free and open for all citizens of Bandung and surrounding areas who wished to obtain information and consultation on the matter of the health of the stomach.

”Since the first time it was held in Jakarta in 2012, 1,900 patients have visited the center. We hope that we will be able to reach more than 2,000 patients in 2013," added Sinteisa Sunarjo, Group Head of Remedy of PT Kalbe Farma Tbk.
The SECC is partnering with the Association of Specialists of Indonesia (PB PAPDI) as expert consultants, aided by General Practitioners, Nutritionists and psychologists.
”We welcome the efforts of Kalbe Farma in educating the community of the importance of the health of the stomach,” said Dr. Ari Fahrial Syam SpPD-KGEH MMB, Gastroenterology-Hepatology Consultant from PB-PAPDI Collegiate. "Stomach illnesses are something that should not be taken in stride and people needs to know more on the methods of taking care of it.”
From a survey taken by PB-PABDI in Jakarta in 2011, it is known that approximately 50 percent of respondent (from total of 1,600 respondents that has gastric problem or stomach ulcers) who suffered from stomach problem that were not caused by sporadic meals, but also caused by oxygen deprivation or hypoxia. Hypoxia could occur due to the lack of oxygen content in the air, thus could cause damage to the heart, arteries, lungs, and stomach.
Kalbe also campaigns the Healthy Stomach Movement guidelines that is also known as the 3T solutions, that is Meals on time, Proper Nutritions and Proper Solutions (Tepat Waktu Makan, Tepat Nutrisi serta Tepat Solusi). 3T could help the community to identify the type of medications to consume when a stomach illness or pain occurs..
Other than SECC, the Healthy Stomach Movement (HSM) is also holding a seminar on stomach health and election of HSM motivator, which started in Bandung on June 26. The HSM even will be closed with 'tabligh akbar' (grand sermon) in a Ramadan concert on July 14, 2013.
Promag at a glance
Promag is the medication that can reduce symptoms that are related with gastric acid, gastritis, peptic ulcers, stomach pain, and intestinal ulcers. It contains complex hydrotalcite that contains aluminum and magnesium.
The combination of Hydrotalcite and Magnesium hydroxide creates an antacid that works to neutralize gastric acid and alleviate dyspeptic symptoms such as heartburns and nausea caused by irritation that is caused by gastric acid and pepsin.
