Kalbe Presents Beach Adventure In A Mall

Jakarta, 11 April 2013 – PT Kalbe Farma Tbk (Kalbe) through Hydro Coco brand is holding Hydro Coco Beach, a beach adventure inside a mall. That is the event where Hydro Coco is presenting the beach atmosphere and habitat inside the mall. The event is held with the purpose to introduce the Indonesian family, especially the children, to the biodiversity of ocean life and the benefit of coconut water that came from the beach and ocean habitat.  The event is held from 11 April to 14 April 2013 at Mall Kelapa Gading 3, Jakarta, and continued on 2-5 May 2013 at Mall Summarecon Serpong.

”This event can be called as one of Kalbe's CSR activity through the Hydro Coco brand, that is to educate the public on nature preservation and endangered animals, particularly turtles,” said Widjanarko Lokadjaja,  Sales & Marketing Director PT Kalbe Farma Tbk. ”By bringing the beach adventure into the mall, we hope we can bring the ocean and beach life closer to Indonesian families in ways that are more interesting and fun.”

“Five out of seven species of turtles of the world is indigenous to Indonesia. Therefore, we are attempting to participate in keeping the population of turtles in Indonesia that is decreasing every day. We will present the largest touch pool  in the mall. Through this media, the visitors will be introduced and get the experiences of touching or feeding a number of ocean life like shark, sea cucumbers, stingray, and other sea animals,” Widjanarko continued.

“We gladly welcome the Hydro Coco Beach & Save The Turtle activities because it is in line with our purpose to educate, conserve, and providing entertainment on sea animals and beach habitat to Indonesian families,” said Sonny Wibisono Widjanarko, Director of PT. Sea World Indonesia. “We hope what is organized by Kalbe Group through one of their brands, Hydro Coco, can be followed by others to care for the conservation of the biodiversity of the beach and the ocean.”  

Furthermore, there are seven games that represents the seven goodness of Hydro Coco that is available for children: Coco Green Cycling, Coco Futsal, Coco Volley, Coco Bowling, Coco Photogenic and Coco Save The Turtle. There is also the Frisbee Challenge, playing with sand at Hydro Coco's giant sand castle area, photo taking inside a shark's mouth, scavenger hunt to find 7 giant turtle replicas, paint a turtle statue, turtle coloring and drawing, and beachwear fashion show for kindergarten and elementary school category;  dance competition for junior and senior high school categories, story telling of ocean life by Seaworld, Zumba  Dance & Coco Dance performances, and other entertainments.  We can also watch the process of the making of Hydro Coco which is made from natural coconut water.


Hydro Coco at a glance

Hydro Coco is the only beverage made from pure coconut water, without preservatives, artificial sweeteners, or synthetic colorants. Ensuring Hydro Coco’s safety, even for every day consumption.  Hydro Coco is hygienically processed using modern technology. Coconut water is initially sterilized in an aseptic tube using Ultra High Temperature (UHT) technology.
