Kalbe Haze Relief Aid

Jambi, 17 October 2015 - PT Kalbe Farma Tbk. (Kalbe) today holds free healthcare services for Jambi residents. This event is a part of Kalbe Haze Relief Aid that takes place in a number of cities in Indonesia. The event is held at Pondok Pesantren Sa’adatuddaren/Al-Mubarak Al-Islami, Tahtul Yaman Subdistrict, Pelayangan District, and is attended by dr Hj.  Ida Yulianti, MH. Kes, Chief of Health Department of Jambi City, and Drs.  Noviyanto, Chief of Pelayangan District.

"Kalbe is concerned with the condition of air of Pekanbaru that has been covered in haze in the past few months, thus we are trying to help enlighten the suffering of those bearing the impact of haze through free healthcare services," said Fakthur Rahman, Regional Sales Manager of PT Kalbe Farma Tbk. "As we all know the haze that struck Pekanbaru city has reached a point that is hazardous for health, there is a rise in the number of complaints for upper respiratory illnesses as well," he added. Kalbe therefore collaborates with the Regional Government and local Health Centers to perform free healthcare services.

This event is a part of the series of KALBE's haze relief aid events at 4 areas that are hit by haze, Pekanbaru, Palembang, Jambi, and Pontianak, and includes approximately 200 employees of Kalbe group companies as volunteers. In Jambi, the event involves 6 physicians and 3 pharmacists from Palembang city's Health Department, and 52 employees of Kalbe group's Jambi branch as volunteers. Approximately 67 types of medication are prepared to be handed over to the people in accordance of their complaints.
