Wonogiri, 7 February 2015 – PT Kalbe Farma Tbk (Kalbe) today holds a social event in the form of free healthcare services, clean and healthy lifestyle pattern education (PHBS) and exercised for the people of Pracimantoro District, Wonogiri, Central Java. The Social activity that was opened by H. Danar Rahmanto as the regent of Wonogiri will be held for two days in 7-8 February 2015 and takes place at Sasana Wiyata Mandala Building with the target of 1,500 patients.
"This activity is one form of the company's social responsibilities to state that Kalbe cares for the health of the Indonesian people,” said Herda J.T. "Furthermore, this activity is a form of our support for the Government program to provide access to and the quality of healthcare services that will get more solid . Together we support the government in increasing people’s awareness of the benefits of the available healthcare facilities, in order to improve the levels of health of the community to achieve a healthier Indonesian people.”
According to data from Wonogiri's Bureau of Statistics, in 2013 Pracimantoro District with a number of population of 67.470 people at present has 2 community health centers, 9 community clinics , 6 general practitioners , 21 midwives and 168 neighborhood health centers that are spread throughout the villages/suburbs. Ten of the topmost illnesses often faced by the people of Pracimantoro are chikungunya, acute respiratory infection (ISPA), uric acid, cholesterol, diarrhea, skin diseases, soreness, hypertension, muscular pains (myalgia) and diabetes.
The social activities event involve 23 teams of physicians, 26 pharmacists, and 112 volunteers from a number of Kalbe Group subsidiaries of Jogjakarta areas to serve approximately 1,500 members of the community," said Neti M.
