Dr. Ahmad Suryawan, Sp.A(K), Chairman of the Division of Child and Adolescent Growth of the Department of Pediatric Health at Dr. Soetomo/FK Unair Surabaya Hospital (University of Airlangga Medical Faculty). “The uniqueness of this critical period lies on two things, which are the period of when the brain synapses are formed to up to 80%, and this is a once-in-a-lifetime period, therefore through this time, the Child should be constantly monitored to avoid failure of forming synapses that could permanently affect the child through its lifetime.”
