Jakarta, March 23, 2020, PT Kalbe Farma Tbk (Kalbe) in support of the Indonesian government in dealing with the Coronavirus outbreak (Covid-19) is providing medicines, multivitamins, health supplements, nutritional products, masks, PPE for health workers, hand sanitizers and other medical devices, as well as conducting Covid-19 examinations through Kalbe's laboratory network. The amount of the budget that has been prepared for the assistance is worth Rp. 25 billion which has been carried out in stages since last week; including toward various health institutions in the community such as hospitals (RS), Eijkman Research Institute, various offices, and community groups. Other health assistance forms are also provided directly or through the Ministry of Health, Food & Drugs Monitoring Agency, and Regional Governments.
“Together Make the Nation Healthy is the pillar of Kalbe's CSR, and we are ready to support the Indonesian government in overcoming the Covid-19 outbreak,” said Vidjongtius, President Director of PT Kalbe Farma Tbk. “Assistance will continue to be provided in stages through government agencies and direct assistance to various community groups in need,” he continued.
Medicines, multivitamins (Starmuno, Elanos, Bejo Ginger Merah, Xonce, Fatigon, H2 Cordicept, etc. ) and E-Care hand sanitizer have been distributed to several hospitals, including RSPAD Jakarta Hospital, RSPI Sulianti Saroso, RS Persahabatan. Jakarta, and through the DKI Provincial Health Service which will be distributed to Tarakan Regional Hospital, Duren Sawit Regional Hospital, Cengkareng Regional Hospital, and Pasar Minggu Regional Hospital. Kalbe is also preparing 1,000,000 masks, personal protective equipment (PPE), Rapid Test Kits and 500,000 nutritional products for health workers. In addition, Kalbe is also preparing a laboratory to enter the laboratory network approved by the Ministry of Health to examine the Covid-19 virus using the PCR method. Through KlikDokter, Kalbe also prepared a free consultation service related to the Coronavirus and provided Covid-19's self-examination service.
