Kalbe’s international venture continued to enjoy consistent growth in the past few years. Total export revenue reached Rp888.7 billion in 2015, a 11.5% growth from Rp796.9 billion in 2014.
Kalbe International benefits from the rapid economic growth and favorable customer base that have made Southeast Asia an attractive market for healthcare companies. The implementation of ASEAN Economic Community in 2016 will open more exciting opportunities for the Company, as it aspires to increase Kalbe’s presence in the regional market. On top of the ASEAN markets, Kalbe’s consumer health, nutritionals and pharmaceuticals products are also well received in several other countries in Asia and Africa that share the same market characteristics as Indonesia.
Headquartered in Singapore, Kalbe International is tasked with managing the Company’s overseas branches and representative offices in 10 countries: Singapore, Malaysia, the Philippines, Vietnam, Myanmar, Thailand, Cambodia, Sri Lanka, Nigeria and South Africa.
