Zestam is a combination of the corticosteroid betamethasone and the antihistamine dexchlorpheniramine maleat with anti-inflammatory, antiallergic and antihistaminic properties.

Composition

Each tablet contains

Betamethasone 0,25 mg

Dexchlorpheniramine maleate 2 mg

Indication
 Difficult cases of skin
 Respiratory tract
 Eye allergy

Contra Indication
Newborn & premature infants; severe infections; systemic fungal infections; during MAOI therapy

Adverse Reaction
Betamethasone :
Fluid & electrolyte imbalance; musculoskeletal; GI; dermatologic; neurologic; endocrine; ophthalmic; metabolic & psychiatric disorders

Dexchlorpheniramine maleate :
Urticarial rash; anaphylactic shock; photosensitivity; hidrosis; fever; dry mouth; nose & throat

Dosage
Adult & children > 12 years : initially 1-2 tablet 4 times daily. Max 8 tab daily
Children 6-12 years : initially ½ tablet 3 times daily. Max 4 tab daily
