Nexa
Nexa contains tranexamic acid. It stops bleeding by its antifibrinolytic
properties. Nexa is indicated for epistaxis, prostatectomy, cervical
conisation, hereditary angioneurotic edema, abnormal bleeding after surgery,
and bleeding after tooth extraction in patients with haemophilia.
Composition
Each capsule contains Tranexamic acid 250 mg
Each tablet contains Tranexamic acid 500 mg
Per ml ampoule contains Tranexamic acid 50 mg or 100 mg
Indication
o Local fibrinolysis as epistaxis, prostatectomy, cervical conisation
o Hereditary angioneurotic edema
o Abnormal bleeding after surgery
o Bleeding after tooth extraction in patients with haemophilia
Contra Indication
Subarachnoid haemorrhage; history of thromboembolic disease; defective colour vision
Warning
Renal insufficiency
Haematuria from renal parenchyma
Pregnancy & lactation
Adverse Reaction
GI disturbances; nausea; dizziness; vomiting; anorexia; exanthema & headache; hypotension (rapid IV administration)
Dosage
Capsule : 1-2 capsules 3-4 times daily
Tablet : 0,5-1 tablet3-4 times daily
Ampoule : 250-500 mg IM/IV 1-2 times daily
