Foxim
Foxim contains cefotaxime, a 3rd generation of cephalosporin that is indicated to various infections caused by either gram negative or positive microorganisms.
It has high affinity to PBPs (penicillin binding proteins). It exerts strong bactericidal activity and stability against beta lactamases.

Hypersensitivity to patients; severe renal dysfunction; history of GI disease, particulary colitis; pregnancy & lactation

Dosage
Adut & children > 12 years : 1 g twice daily. Severe infection : 2 g twice daily. Max 12 g/day in 3-4 doses
Infant & children : 50-100 mg/kg/day in 2-4 divided doses
