Danovir
Acyclovir in Danovir is an antivirus drug which againsts selectively to herpes virus, especially to herpes-simplex virus type 1 (HSV1), type 2 (HSV2), and also varicella-zooster virus (VZV).
It works by blocking DNA-synthetized of herpes virus. It may be used by adults or children
Composition
Each tablet contains :
Acyclovir 200 mg
Acyclovir 400 mg
Indication
– Infections of the skin & mucous membranes
– Prophylaxis of the herpes simplex infections in immunocompromised patients
– Infections of the skin & mucous membranes

Contra Indication
Patients who are hypersensitive to Acyclovir

Warning
– Severe renal impairment
– Impaired creatinine clearance

Dosage
Infections of the skin & mucous membranes :
Adult & children > 2 years 1 tablet 4 hourly for 5 days, < 2 years ½ adult dose
Prophylaxis of the herpes simplex infections in immunocompromised patients :
Adult & children > 2 years 1 tablet 6 hourly for up to 6 months, < 2 years ½ adult dose
Infections of the skin & mucous membranes :
Adult & children > 2 years 1 tablet 4 hourly for 5 days, < 2 years ½ adult dose
Prophylaxis of the herpes simplex infections in immunocompromised patients :
